Welcome

Welcome to Casa!

We're so glad you're here, and honored that you're considering the Casa di Mir community as the place where your child will grow, learn, and discover who they are.

Montessori education has endured for over a century because it works: it meets each child exactly where they are, nurturing a genuine love of learning and building the self-awareness, empathy, and resilience that carry them through every stage of life.

At Casa, we live this out fully. Our trained faculty invest real time and care in knowing each child, and our academic program is enriched by music, art, Spanish, experiential education, and service learning. Daily, students practice independence and explore their own interests, guided by a social-emotional curriculum rooted in character, peace, and mindfulness, and the belief that mistakes are simply part of learning.

Established nearly four decades ago, Casa di Mir was founded on the belief that children flourish when they love learning and feel connected to their community, and that mindfulness, focus, and compassion are the bedrock of a meaningful life. Our families share these values, creating a close-knit community whose traditions stay with students long after they graduate.

We'd love for you to tour our community and see it for yourself. A Casa di Mir education is a gift that truly lasts a lifetime. Thank you again for your interest - we look forward to getting to know your family.

A Few Things to Know About Usโ€ฆ

We Love Big Questions.
Our students are curious and brave. They dig deeper, try new ideas, make mistakes and try again. To us, a wrong answer is part of learning, not a failure

.

Every Voice Matters.
From our youngest children to our middle schoolers, students learn to share their ideas, listen to others and speak up for what's right. Every child brings something valuable to our community.

Our Classrooms Move.
You won't find rows of desks here. Children work at tables, on floor mats, in small groups and outdoors, moving as they learn and choosing the space that helps them focus best.

We are a Community That Feels Like Home.
Casa means "home," and we take that seriously. Casa di Mir is a warm, diverse community of families, educators and friends. It's a calm, joyful place in the heart of busy Silicon Valley, where everyone is welcome to come as they are.

Families Are Part of the Classroom.
Parent participation is at the heart of Casa. Each family gives about twenty hours a year, helping in classrooms, leading projects, teaching enrichment activities, and pitching in on clean-up days. Families are partners in learning, and children see their community working together.

Our Teachers Never Stop Learning.
Our teachers are trained to understand how children grow at every age level. Professional development is a priority for all of our faculty and staff, so they keep growing alongside the students they guide. They are dedicated, caring educators who know each child well.
