Benefits of a Preschool to 8 Experience

The Whole Journey: Preschool Through 8th Grade

Over a century ago, Dr. Maria Montessori designed a unique educational program for very young children through adolescence. Many Montessori schools today offer programs through early childhood (toddler to kindergarten), but at Casa di Mir, children can engage and explore from their very first days of preschool to their final year of 8th grade, as our program has expanded since 1989.

Every Stage, Fully Lived

Dr. Montessori observed children growing in stages. Ages 3โ€“6 build independence and focus. Ages 6โ€“12 chase big questions and reasoning. Ages 12โ€“14 seek purpose, responsibility, and a place in the larger world. Each stage prepares the next, and staying through 8th grade means your child harvests what they've planted through daily moments and experiences.

Leaders, Again and Again

In mixed-age classrooms, the older students become mentors and role models, applying knowledge while helping others. These leadership years are some of the most transformative, and at Casa di Mir your child experiences them at every level, each time with greater confidence.

Continuity That Frees Them to Grow

No switching philosophies, no relearning how to learn. Guides know your child for years, friendships run deep beyond Casa, and that security enables children to take real intellectual and personal risks.

Ready for High School and Beyond

Our 8th graders leave knowing how to manage their time, advocate for themselves, collaborate, and think critically. They're not just prepared. They know who they are.
