Application Procedure

Thank you for considering Casa di Mir Montessori School for your PK-8th grade student! The following steps will walk you through our application procedure process:

1. Application and Teacher Evaluation Form


Submit an application and non-refundable application fee, and provide the email address of the child’s current teacher, if applicable. We encourage families to apply online as it simplifies submission and provides parents the ability to track the status of their child’s application.

2. Child’s Visit to the School


Once the application is complete, applicants visit Casa di Mir. School visits vary by grade:


  • Primary applicants attend a visit/observation day. This visit to the classroom provides the child an opportunity to explore the environment, and the teachers a chance to observe and interact with each child. The visit is more of a readiness check, rather than an assessment, and typically lasts about 30 minutes.
  • First grade applicants will be given a more formal evaluation including work in language and math. We may invite a first grade applicant to participate in a shadow experience.
  • Second through 8th-grade applicants attend two consecutive shadow days, followed by a family conversation. This will be scheduled with the Director of Admissions upon submission of the completed application packet.

3. Notification


Families are notified of their child’s application status after the visit to the school.

4. Deposit


Once an offer of enrollment is made, the agreement must be signed and submitted by the due date on the agreement. Each family must enroll with FACTS Tuition Management to submit the initial fees (capital development fee and 10% of annual tuition). The 10% of annual tuition will be applied to your child’s tuition.
